行與識為三緣者，由行同時熏發識種，是俱有緣，由行勢力令次念識種相續增長，是無間滅緣。由彼行種識當來果得生起，是久遠滅緣。

Regarding formations serving as three conditions for consciousness: because formations perfume and initiate seeds of consciousness simultaneously, this is the coexistent condition. Because the power of formations causes the seeds of consciousness in the subsequent moments to continue and increase, this is the immediately preceding condition. Because the future fruition of consciousness is able to arise from those seeds of formations, this is the long-ceased condition.
