又能引發彼界功能為久遠緣者，此望初生非後相續，將死我愛望諸界初起時有隔正死一念，故為久遠緣。

In the passage, "Furthermore, being able to induce the capacity of that realm is the remote condition," this is with respect to the initial rebirth, not the subsequent continuation. When about to die, self-craving is separated by the single moment of actual death from the initial arising in the realms, and hence it is a remote condition.
