了相、勝解、究竟果三通攝勝解真實作意等者，景云：由此文知，勝解作意通假實觀，觀察作意唯攝四十中勝解，七中餘三作意唯攝四十中真實。

Regarding 'discerning characteristics, resolute faith, and the fruition of culmination—these three broadly subsume the mental application of resolute faith, reality, and so forth': Master Jing says: 'From this text we know that the mental application of resolute faith extends to both provisional and real contemplation; the mental application of inspection only subsumes resolute faith among the forty; the remaining three mental applications among the seven only subsume reality among the forty.'
