次第十九云：勝解思擇作意者，謂由此故，或有最初思擇諸法，此是欲界思慧，或奢摩他而為上首，此為後門。

The nineteenth subsequently says: 'The mental application of discernment through resolute faith means that, through this, some initially discern dharmas'—this is wisdom derived from contemplation in the desire realm—'or have śamatha as foremost'—this is the latter gate.
