此就前門。就餘門者，當知隨應者，此就前說七作意與二相攝，就餘別義了相，多唯勝解初起修故，究竟果唯真實解脫道故，觀察作意通勝解真實能為勝進加行道故。

"This is according to the preceding approach; according to other approaches, it should be understood in accordance with what is fitting": this refers to the previous exposition of how the seven mental applications and the two subsume each other. According to other distinct meanings: the apprehension of marks is mostly only resolute engagement, because cultivation is just beginning; the culmination of practice is only the real, because it is the path of liberation; and the mental application of examination applies to both resolute engagement and the real, because it can serve as the preliminary application for the superior path of progress.
