前六作意通攝一分及具分修等者，基云：有慧解脫修慧非定異生，得根本定未必修慧。究竟果作意據勝者，說攝具分修，其俱解脫修具分故。隨順作意，初二所攝等者，隨順作意厭壞所緣故初二攝。對治作意、為無間道故。攝遠離加行究竟及攝樂一分，攝樂作意通四道故。

As for "the first six mental applications apply across one-part cultivation and full-part cultivation, etc.": Master Ji says: There are those liberated by wisdom who cultivate wisdom but not samādhi; worldlings who attain fundamental absorption do not necessarily cultivate wisdom. The mental application of the culmination of practice is spoken of as including full-part cultivation on the basis of what is superior, because those liberated both ways cultivate the full part. As for "conformable mental application is included in the first two, etc.": because conformable mental application is repulsed by the cognitive object, it is included in the first two. As for "antidote mental application, being the uninterrupted path": it includes aloofness, culmination of preliminary practice, and a part of delight, because the mental application of delight applies across the four paths.
