基云：又即修習此作意時厭壞所緣是加行道，捨諸煩惱是無間道，任持斷滅是解脫道，令諸煩惱遠離相續是勝進道也。
Ji says: Furthermore, when cultivating this mental application, revulsion toward the object is the path of preliminary application; abandoning afflictions is the uninterrupted path; sustaining the eradication is the path of liberation; and causing afflictions to remain far from continuous succession is the path of superior progress.
