it now states that the pure concentration that is savored has already been emerged from, and the mind capable of savoring should be said to be properly entering. Ji says: The pure concentration has already entered the past and emerged from the present; since the savoring concentration is in the present, it should be said to be "properly entering." As for pure dhyāna, only those with medium faculties or sharp faculties, whose afflictions are thin and whose defilements are faint, are able to cultivate and enter it; it does not say that those with inferior faculties or with disproportionately increased three poisons cultivate and attain pure concentration.
