Regarding "Having been born there, if one gives rise to relish, one immediately falls away and perishes": it is not that meditation in a higher level can be fallen away from; rather, due to extensive relishing, one's lifespan is diminished, and one is immediately said to fall away and perish—this is a falling away from rebirth. Within the extensive distinction of the five gates of this stage, the three preceding sections have completed the explanation of the four gates.
