Regarding 'affairs of resolute determination': this explains the meaning of 'station' (āyatana), which according to the context refers to the cognitive objects of the preceding vimokṣas and so forth. Regarding 'generating all-pervasive resolute determination': this explains the meaning of 'totality' (kṛtsna), because this nominal resolute determination forms an ideation of all-pervasiveness. This explains the common name. Listing the names: namely, earth, water, fire, wind, blue, yellow, red, white, the station of space, and the station of consciousness. As the sūtra states: 'Namely, in the earth totality-base, one understands above, below, and across, as non-dual and immeasurable; in this way, up to the consciousness totality-base, above, below, and across, as non-dual and immeasurable,' and so forth. Although 'non-dual and immeasurable' is explained here, the remainder is as stated in the fourth [fascicle] of the Xianyang and elsewhere.
