Only within the material sense-base, the three—color, shape, and communicative [matter]—are the most prominent and are specifically discussed. As for 'obstructing other matter in its own locus', following what precedes and follows, it clarifies eleven kinds of form. Regarding the three dharmas for contemplating the impermanent nature of body, speech, and mind: because the physical body moves and shifts through inhalation and exhalation, the body is impermanent; because vocal speech is able to arise through investigation and reflection, speech is impermanent; because the mind is able to operate in the world through conception and volition, the mind is impermanent. The three ways of citing offenses are: through seeing, through hearing, and through suspicion.
