Master Ji explains: Tainted knowledge of others' minds does not know untainted minds, nor does it know their cognizing self-witnessing aspect and so forth, nor does it know their cognizing knowledge, because one's own mind does not see itself. Untainted knowledge of others' minds can know both tainted and untainted minds and also knows the cognizing knowledge, because the Buddha's knowledge's latter three aspects can completely know itself. However, it does not necessarily perform the four aspects of the path, nor does it necessarily extend to other persons.
