Answer: They feel aversion toward nominal, imputed fear; hence there is no fault. However, when the eighteenth fascicle of this *Yogācāra* states that fright and fear belong to the category of malice, it is stated with reference to the fear of the desire realm. The "seven crude heavinesses" are the seven anusayas. Regarding "furthermore, there are seven dharmas for settling disputed matters," these are the seven dharmas for settling disputes: first, face-to-face settlement; second, settlement through recollected mindfulness; third, settlement for the non-insane; fourth, settlement by voluntary confession; fifth, settlement by searching out the marks of an offense; sixth, majority decision searching out the marks of an offense; seventh, covering over like grass. These correspond respectively to the seven kinds of transgressive disputes below. These seven vinayas settle the four disputes—namely disputes over speech, disputes over searching, and disputes over matters—as detailed in the Vinaya.
