5.43

地施設建立中，唯依初五地辨，地建立非依餘者，三藏解云：約實而言，十七地中五識意地有尋有伺無尋唯伺聞思二及有心地。如此七地屬有心地，無心無餘此之二地唯無心地，定非定地，無尋伺地，修所成地，聲聞獨覺菩薩三地，有餘依地。

In the establishment of stages, it is differentiated solely based on the first five stages, and the establishment of stages is not based on the others. The Tripiṭaka Master explains: speaking in terms of reality, among the seventeen stages, the stage associated with the five groups of consciousness, the mental stage, the stage with investigation and with reflection, the stage without investigation and with reflection only, the two stages of hearing and thinking, and the stage with mind—these seven stages belong to the stage with mind. The mindless stage and the stage without remainder—these two stages belong exclusively to the mindless stage. The stage of samāhita, the stage of non-samāhita, the stage without investigation and without reflection, the stage arisen from cultivation, the three stages of śrāvakas, pratyekabuddhas, and bodhisattvas, and the stage with remainder—
