基云：處非處性善惡因果順相生故，自業所作非他所作及無因故，師於弟子作所應作教誡法故，諸弟子等自所作義依於師授修斷法故。

Ji says: "The nature of possibility and impossibility is because wholesome and unwholesome causes and effects arise in mutual concordance; action done by one's own karma is because it is not done by another and is not uncaused; the teacher toward the disciples performs what ought to be done through the dharma of instruction; and the disciples' own accomplishments rely on the methods of cultivation and abandonment taught by the teacher."
