言便有堪任便有勢力者，有說堪任謂性種性。勢力者習種姓也。今思不是，所以者何？性種姓本有，何勞遇緣，故云非也。今意者，堪任謂有種姓習種姓，勢力道種姓也。

Regarding the statement "then having capability, then having power": Some say capability refers to the natural gotra, while power refers to the cultivated gotra. Now considering this, it is not so. Why? The natural gotra is originally existent, so why would it depend on encountering conditions? Hence it is said to be incorrect. The present intention is that capability refers to the existing gotra and cultivated gotra, while power refers to the gotra of the path.
