能得能證，與泰同釋。能生現行故名種子，梵本云馱都，此云界，是因義也。梵本云濕縛娑縛，此云性，是體性義也。據義各別，此解種子初三家義，如先敘答，附在所依。

"Being able to attain and being able to realize" is explained in the same way as by Tai. Being able to produce manifest activity is called a "seed"; the Sanskrit text says *dhātu*, translated here as "realm" (界), which has the meaning of cause. The Sanskrit text says *svabhāva*, translated here as "nature" (性), which has the meaning of essential nature. Their meanings are distinct. This explanation of seed by the first three masters, as recounted earlier in the response, attaches to the locus of reliance.
