近中復二：一者、時近，此人已經多身修習，住最後生，住最後有，住最後身。即由此身當得涅槃，生有及身體一義異。若對七生十四生等，此人住最後生、若對三有二十五有相續位中，此人住最後有，身是依止義積聚義，從無始來身身相續。此人得道餘生皆滅，住最後身當涅槃。

In 'near' there are also two kinds: first, near by time; this person has already cultivated across many bodies, and abides in their final birth, abides in their final existence, abides in their final body. By this very body they will attain nirvāṇa. Birth, existence, and body are one in substance but differ in meaning. In contrast to seven births, fourteen births, and so forth, this person abides in their final birth; in contrast to the stages of continuous succession of the three existences and twenty-five existences, this person abides in their final existence; "body" has the meaning of basis and accumulation, succeeding body upon body from beginningless time. When this person attains the path, the remaining births are all extinguished; abiding in their final body, they will attain nirvāṇa.
