第二安立門，先問，次答，後結。答中，初列八句；後次第解。解中有三：初釋八門；次攝八為六，重釋成就；後解趣入遲速。攝八為六者，先牒諸人六位所攝；次徵釋六位；後解六位乘前起後。

The second gate of establishment first questions, next answers, and finally concludes. In the answer, it first lists eight phrases, and then explains them in succession. In the explanation there are three parts: first, explaining the eight gates; next, subsuming the eight into six to re-explain their accomplishment; finally, explaining the speed of entry. Subsuming the eight into six: first, it recapitulates the various persons subsumed under the six stages; next, it queries and explains the six stages; finally, it explains how the six stages take up the preceding to give rise to the subsequent.'
