6.195

六位者：一、住種姓未趣入人；二、成下品善根者雖已發趣未經生修；三、中品善根者已經生修未至最後入聖身；四、上品善根者住彼最後修入聖身；五、究竟方便者從於初果進斷修未得羅漢；六、已到究竟即阿羅漢。

As for the six stages: first, a person abiding in the gotra who has not yet entered [the path]; second, one who has achieved inferior roots of goodness, having already set out but not yet cultivated across lifetimes; third, one with middling roots of goodness, having already cultivated across lifetimes but not yet reached the final body for entering the noble [state]; fourth, one with superior roots of goodness, abiding in that final body cultivating to enter the noble [state]; fifth, one of ultimate expedients, from the first fruition advancing to abandon [defilements] through cultivation without yet attaining the state of an arhat; sixth, one who has arrived at the ultimate, namely the arhat.
