Regarding "great desire, not knowing joy and contentment, difficult to nourish and difficult to satisfy": desiring unattained objects is called great desire; being attached to already attained objects is called not knowing contentment. Due to great desire, it is difficult to nourish; due to not knowing contentment, it is difficult to satisfy.
