6.363

初解契經文分有三：初、明世尊隨機散說。於中，初說五蘊、十二處、十二緣、起四食四諦十八界語；次說三乘語；次說道品語；後說入聖方便語。

First, the text explaining the sūtras has three parts: first, clarifying the World-Honoured One's occasional discourses according to capacities. Therein, first expounding discourses on the five aggregates, twelve sense bases, twelve links of dependent origination, four nutriments, four truths, and eighteen elements; next, expounding discourses on the three vehicles; next, expounding discourses on the factors of awakening; finally, expounding discourses on the preliminary means for entering sainthood.
