安怛婆參者此云內衣，安怛名內，婆參名衣，謂但三衣，五條儭體，故名內衣。

*Antarvāsana* is translated here as 'inner robe': *antar* means 'inner', and *vāsana* means 'robe'. That is to say, among only the three robes, the five-strip robe is worn against the body, hence it is called the 'inner robe'.
