次答意當在煗等時而本所知事雖非和合現前領受，亦非離本所知餘種類物領受現前。然由定中勝解領受散心本所知事，相似影像故。言於所知事，如現領受，由此煗等定心相分似彼本所知事名所知事同分影像。

Next, the intended reply is: when in heat and the rest, although the original knowable phenomenon is not directly experienced as combined and present before one, nor is an object of a different kind from the original knowable experienced as present before one, nevertheless, due to the resolute belief in samādhi experiencing the original knowable phenomenon of the scattered mind as a similar image, it says, 'with respect to the knowable phenomena, proceeding as if directly experiencing them.' Because of this, the objective aspect of the mind in the samādhis of heat and the rest resembles that original knowable phenomenon, and is called a generic image of the knowable phenomenon.
