此六番解內外者，即當前十四對中七對也。謂初是內外對；二、是根非根對；三、是輕安麁重對；四、是能所造對；五、是有無識對；六、是中表對及變不變對。

These six explanations of internal and external correspond precisely to seven pairs among the preceding fourteen pairs: namely, the first is the internal-external pair; the second is the faculty–non-faculty pair; the third is the pliancy-heaviness pair; the fourth is the primary-derived pair; the fifth is the conscious-unconscious pair; the sixth is the inner-superficial pair and the altered-unaltered pair.
