總就根力辨餘相即中文即五句，當觀信根信力乃至何以故者，信力是有漏在見道前，云何得見道中四證淨中信，故言何以故？

In generally analyzing their identity with other aspects in terms of the faculties and powers, the text has five clauses. As for the passage from 'should contemplate the faculty of faith and the power of faith' up to 'why is that?': the power of faith is contaminated and exists prior to the path of seeing; how then could it obtain the faith among the four factors of verified clarity within the path of seeing? Therefore, it asks, 'Why is that?'
