7.306

初中，一、預流者，由捨異生證諦現觀在聖類族，故云預流。一來且如在人得第二果往生天上，一來人中得般涅槃，故云一來。已離欲界煩惱生上不還，故云不還。阿羅漢者，此云應供。智斷具足堪供養，故云應供。或名殺賊或稱不生，如常分別。

In the first part: 1. Stream-enterer: because of abandoning ordinary beings, realizing the direct realization of the truths, and being in the lineage of the noble class, one is called a stream-enterer. Once-returner: for instance, attaining the second fruit among humans, one is reborn in heaven, and returning once among humans attains parinirvāṇa; hence one is called a once-returner. Having separated from the afflictions of the desire realm, one is born above and does not return; hence one is called a non-returner. Arhat: here translated as 'worthy of offerings'. Fully endowed with knowledge and eradication, one is worthy of receiving offerings; hence called 'worthy of offerings'. Or it is called 'slayer of enemies', or termed 'unborn', as conventionally distinguished.
