頌中，大意有二：初、總三門；二、於第三門別開為五。今此頌四句有二十字。上之八字，列總三門；下十二字，別開為五。往慶問為一，尋求是第二，方安立為第三。就安立中，別有五句：一、護養；二、是遠離；三、一境性；四、障淨；五、修作意。

In the verse, the general meaning has two parts: first, the three gates in general; second, within the third gate, separately dividing it into five. This verse of four lines contains twenty characters. The first eight characters list the three gates in general; the lower twelve characters separately divide [the third] into five. Going to offer joyful congratulations and inquire is the first; seeking is the second; and properly establishing is the third. Within establishing, there are distinctively five phrases: first, nurturing; second, seclusion; third, one-pointedness; fourth, purification of hindrances; fifth, cultivating mental engagement.
