憶念力中，言安住、近住者，此中意由憶念力安住於近住中，非即安住近住二法是憶念力，即唯近住一種是憶念力。

Regarding the power of mindfulness, when it speaks of 'settled abiding and proximate abiding', what is meant here is that by the power of mindfulness one stably abides in proximate abiding; it does not mean that the two dharmas of settled abiding and proximate abiding are both the power of mindfulness. That is to say, only proximate abiding alone is the power of mindfulness.
