尋思時者，謂諸內淨色相外不淨色俱在現在，諸此生中已滅過去曾淨色相而今已死現有種種不淨相續而起，今我現有似淨色相，於未來世不當不淨如今現在外不淨色無有是處。

Regarding 'investigating time': the internal sign of pure form and the external impure form are both present right now; all the signs of previously pure forms that have already ceased in the past of this life are now dead, with various impurities presently arising in continuation; that the seemingly pure form I presently possess will not become impure in the future like the presently existing external impure form is impossible.
