二者、因果分別，舊人義章種種解釋。今解，初持一種唯因非果，第十一種唯果非因，住之與地，通因及果，餘之六種，若據文相說唯因非果，就實而言皆通因果。

Second, the differentiation of cause and fruit: Former masters gave various explanations in their doctrinal treatises. Our present explanation is: The first kind, holding, is solely cause and not fruit. The tenth kind [establishment] is solely fruit and not cause. The abodes and the stages apply to both cause and fruit. The remaining six kinds, if judged according to the literal presentation of the text, are said to be solely cause and not fruit, but in actuality they all apply to both cause and fruit.
