基云：助成果故，能生果故，依得果故，隨從位故，導生智故，攝藏果故，如其次第配助因等。

[Kuiji] said: Because it assists in bringing the fruit to fruition; because it can generate the fruit; because the fruit is obtained based on it; because it accompanies the stages; because it guides the arising of wisdom; and because it gathers and conceals the fruit—these correspond in respective order to 'assisting', 'cause', and so forth.
