釋曰，所行能行兩種各異，所行之行謂菩提分法，能行之行謂彼發心，故前發心名行加行，今此准文中菩提分法，是所行加行兩種別也。上來略辨三持竟。

Explanation: The two kinds—that which is practiced and that which practices—are distinct. The practice that is practiced refers to the factors associated with awakening (bodhipakṣa-dharmas); the practice that practices refers to that resolve of the mind. Therefore, the earlier resolve of the mind is called the 'preparatory application of practice', and here, in accordance with the text, the factors associated with awakening are the 'preparatory application of practice': thus the two kinds are distinct. Above, the brief analysis of the three supports is concluded.
