若依護月，性種本有，後入十信聞法發心資熏本有性種令其增長，名習種性。
According to Candramati, the natural gotra is originally existent; later, upon entering the ten stages of faith, hearing the Dharma and resolving the mind assist and perfume the originally existent natural gotra, causing it to increase, which is called the cultivated gotra.
