8.325

若依起信論師說：云一切眾生煩惱起時即帶無漏解性一切熏成大乘種姓者，則無三乘勝劣，亦無有性無性差別，云何得順此文，未發心前但成種姓尚過二乘，況餘一切無種姓人。

If one relies on the masters of the Awakening of Faith who state that whenever afflictions arise in all sentient beings, they immediately carry the taintless nature of understanding and all are perfumed into the Mahāyāna gotra, then there would be no superiority or inferiority among the three vehicles, nor any distinction between possessing the nature or lacking the nature. How could that conform to this text? Prior to generating the aspiration, merely accomplishing the gotra already surpasses the two vehicles, much more so all other people without gotra.
