於其種種末尼下，第三明其正直，舊地持文明不貪也，文相全別，基云：此中意謂人有種種珍財其心迷倒故，不能收拾不能防守，先寄施他心迷倒故不能記憶，菩薩能正開悟未尚令他欺網於彼，況當自為。

From 'in regard to various mani-jewels' downward is the third, explaining uprightness. The old Bodhisattvabhūmi text explains it as non-greed; the phrasing of the text is completely different. Ji says: The meaning here is that when people possess various precious goods, their minds are confused and mistaken, so that they cannot gather them or protect them, or having previously deposited or given them to others, their minds are confused and mistaken so that they cannot remember them; the bodhisattva is able to properly awaken them, never allowing others to deceive or defraud them, much less doing so himself.
