下明愛語通四善業，起賢善心。尊重實語下明不妄語。不離他親，明不兩舌。亦不好樂已下，明不綺語。言常柔軟，明不惡口，餘文可知。

Below, affectionate speech is explained as encompassing the four wholesome karmas and giving rise to a worthy and good mind. From 'respecting true speech' downward explains not speaking falsely. 'Not alienating others' kin' explains not speaking divisive words. From 'also not delighting in' downward explains not uttering frivolous speech.
