泰云：無始已來本有種姓人乃至未為四隨煩惱惑，不具四之所染污，可以相表與白法俱。若被染污白法不顯，即不可以麁比知細有性種。

Tai says: A person with the fundamentally existing gotra from beginningless time, so long as they are not deluded by the four secondary afflictions and not defiled by being fully endowed with all four, can manifest by these characteristics that they are accompanied by pure dharmas. If defiled, the pure dharmas do not become apparent, and then one cannot infer the subtle gotra of nature from the coarse.
