8.40

義曰：對治是慧作意是意，前文又收對治，意與慧俱行名俱行，今此中唯明作意不明對治，無慧故不言俱行。

The meaning is: The counteraction is wisdom (prajñā) and attention (manaskāra) is mind. The previous text also subsumed counteractions: mind and wisdom running together is called 'running together'. Now here it only clarifies attention and does not clarify counteractions; because there is no wisdom, it does not say 'running together'.
