四緣之中，初緣即由見佛僧神變增盛所以發心。於中有四：一、見聞佛僧希有神變；二、由見聞故便即興念；三、於大菩提深生信解；四、由信解是故發心。言安住者，即是其佛。修行者，謂諸菩薩。

Among the four conditions: The first condition is generating the mind precisely by seeing the surging transformations of the Buddhas and the Saṅgha. Herein there are four: first, seeing and hearing the rare transformations of the Buddhas and the Saṅgha; second, because of seeing and hearing, immediately bringing forth the thought; third, deeply giving rise to faith and understanding in great bodhi; fourth, because of faith and understanding, thereby generating the mind. The word 'abiding' refers to the Buddha. 'Practitioners' refers to the bodhisattvas.
