三、寂靜樂，文言二禪已上諸尋伺息名寂靜樂。景云：四支五支並是。基云：即以第二禪以上定為此樂體，以除尋伺故，亦以慧為樂體。

Third, the bliss of serenity. The text says that the cessation of investigation and reflection in the second dhyāna and above is called the bliss of serenity. Jing says: "Both the four factors and the five factors are it." Ji says: "It takes the concentrations of the second dhyāna and above as the entity of this bliss; because it eliminates investigation and reflection, it also takes wisdom as the entity of bliss."
