廣分別於修者，即是觀察作意、觀察見修二惑已斷未斷，復起攝樂作意進斷修惑修斷中二果乃至進斷非想八品已還修惑，更復起加行究竟作意即是非想第九無間道金剛喻定。

"Broadly discriminating cultivation" refers to the attention of observation, observing whether the delusions of seeing and cultivation have been severed or not severed; further generating the attention of delighting in withdrawal, advancing to sever the delusions of cultivation up to the intermediate two fruits of severance through cultivation, and further advancing to sever the delusions of cultivation below the eight grades of Neither-Conception-Nor-Non-Conception; and further generating the attention of preparatory culmination, which is the ninth uninterrupted path of Neither-Conception-Nor-Non-Conception, the adamantine concentration.
