初云：教者，本音云阿梨耶？此云聖，阿笈摩耶此云教，阿笈鉢多此云至言，至教者，教稱於義故，此不云阿梨耶故，不應言聖教。

The first states: As for "teaching", in the original pronunciation it is ārya? Here it is translated as "noble" (ārya); āgama is here translated as "teaching"; āptavācana is here translated as "authoritative word". As for "authoritative teaching", the teaching accords with the meaning; since it does not say ārya here, it should not say "noble teaching".
