解自性分別云：謂於一切色等想事者，色等名體。分別色等種種自性者，謂依色等名分別名下，色等自性。言所有尋思者，出能分別體，同此論說，二定已上無有尋伺。

Explaining the conceptualisation of intrinsic nature, it says: 'Regarding all things of notion such as form' refers to the nominal essence of form and so forth. 'Conceptualising the various intrinsic natures of form and so forth' means, relying on names such as form, conceptualising the intrinsic natures of form and so forth under those names. The words 'all investigation (vitarka)' point out the essence of that which can conceptualise, which agrees with this treatise's statement that from the second dhyāna upward there is neither investigation nor reflection.
