景云:此總執分別我及有情等假想施設所引分別與下我我所分別何有異耶?解云:今言我及有情等,不據執有神我及有情等,今舉假說世流布我有情有命,欲取五蘊等法總執而有,故是執非人我執。
Jing says: What difference is there between this conceptualisation of grasping as a whole—which is a conceptualisation induced by the nominal designations of a self, a sentient being, and so forth—and the conceptualisation of 'I' and 'mine' below? The explanation says: Now when speaking of 'self', 'sentient being', and so forth, it is not based on grasping an existent soul-self (ātman) or sentient being; here, adducing the conventionally circulated expressions 'self', 'sentient being', and 'living soul', one wishes to take the dharmas of the five aggregates as a whole and grasp them as existent; therefore, it is grasping [dharma], not grasping an individual self.
