Ce says: The phrase 'it means that those things are neither existent nor non-existent' brings forth the marks of conventional existence, dependent arising, and neither existence nor non-existence of the contemplated object. The phrase 'because the expressible nature is not genuinely established, it is of the nature of non-existence' and so forth explains that because the dependent is free from the expressible imagined nature, it is non-existent; and because the ineffable dependent exists through causes and conditions, it is not of the nature of non-existence. Regarding 'in this way, by virtue of ultimate truth, it is not existent form' and so forth: within the dependent, by virtue of the consummate nature and the absence of imagined form, it is said that it is not existent form; within dependent conventional truth, because form is conventionally stated to exist, it is not non-existent form.
