第三明愚夫智闕故起分別流轉不息中，云謂由如是邪分別故，起諸雜染故，流轉生死者，此文即說八邪分別但是方便，從此方便八分別故，方生根本雜染人法二執及貪瞋癡。

In the third section, explaining that fools, lacking wisdom, give rise to conceptual discrimination and wander unceasingly in saṃsāra, it states: 'Because of such erroneous discrimination, they give rise to all defilements, and thus wander in birth and death.' This text explains that the eight erroneous conceptual discriminations are merely preparatory means; from these preparatory eight conceptual discriminations, the fundamental defilements—the two graspings at self and phenomena, as well as greed, anger, and delusion—only then arise.
