The explanation says: In meaning there is no contradiction. That is, the small can contain the large, and the small is also like the large; the large enters into the small, and the large is also like the small. Therefore in this treatise it is called rolling up and expanding. However, because the mustard seed can contain Mount Sumeru without giving up the small appearance of the mustard seed, and Mount Sumeru enters into the mustard seed without destroying the large appearance of Mount Sumeru, therefore that sūtra does not speak of rolling up and expanding. Hence they do not contradict each other; their meaning is one. Regarding "manifold forms entering into the body," where it says, "causing all in the great assembly to each know that they have entered into his body": it causes others to each know that they have entered within the own-body of those Buddhas and bodhisattvas.
