見死生智通中，云見於後除生已增長至差別而轉者，一解，此生已後後身初起見生色，又見次念後增長色等，故名後際生已增長諸根成就等，亦可因天眼通見於眾生現在死生色已，後入意地知未來生增長色等，名知後際。

Within the supernormal power of the knowledge of the death and rebirth [of beings], regarding the statement "seeing that after rebirth they grow until operating with distinctions": one interpretation is that, after this life, when the subsequent body first arises, one sees the physical form of birth, and furthermore sees the growing physical form and so on of subsequent thought-moments; hence it is called "after birth in the future limit, growing until the various sense faculties are perfected." Alternatively, because one has seen the physical forms of beings currently dying and being reborn by means of the supernormal power of the divine eye, one subsequently enters the mental stage to know the growing physical forms and so on of future births; this is called knowing the future limit.
