前中，景云：住勝解行地，名下品者，四十心位是習種姓與解行住體一不殊，性種即在十信已前非已成熟，故此不論。

In the former part, Jing says: Abiding in the stage of practicing with resolute conviction is called the lower grade; the station of the forty minds is the gotra of practice, which is identical in substance and not different from the abode of resolute conviction. The gotra by nature is prior to the ten faiths and is not yet matured; therefore, it is not discussed here.
